ROYAL PALACE AND ANDONG PRENG
Royal Palace and Andong Preng were built during the second quarter of the 10ᵗʰ century C.E. under the reign of Jayavarman IV. The Royal Palace enclosure, measuring approximately 240 m (East-West) and 188 m (North-South), is located approximately 200 m northwest of the Rahal and 500 m south of Prasat Thom. Inside the laterite enclosure of the royal palace; at the northeast corner, there is a rectangular ancient pond called Andong Preng by the local people. Its sandstone embankment measures 56 m (East-West) and 28 m (North-South). This is probably a royal pond as seen in other royal palaces in the Angkor area.
