PRASAT DAMREI
There is a brick Sanctuary of square plan, facing cast, on a high basement with sandstone pavement. This temple has the large adorned sandstone elephants, facing outward at the four corners of the foundation of the central terrace. The four stairways of the temple have fine seated lions which are very impressive. Only one of the eight stone lions is still at the original place on the flight of steps. The main door of the central brick tower is open whereas other three are false doors made of lime mortar. There are bas-reliefs on the walls and pediments. On the main lintel is carved the figure of Indra mounting Airavata. There are two brick north and south "Libraries" of rectangular plan, facing west; enclosed by a laterite wall with brick Gopura east. and west of square plan. Its eastern gopura has inscriptions written in Sanskrit and Khmer, telling the installation of Tribhuvaneshvara on Prasat Prang in Prasat Thom complex.
